MARINERS COTTAGE ALLONBY

Mariner’s Cottage offers excellent self-catering accommodation on West Green, Allonby, offering outstanding views over the Solway Firth to the Scottish mountains.

Our delightful cottage is great for a getaway in a lovely part of the country. The cottage sleeps up to 3 people possible 4 if two share the bed settee which is a double.

Mariner’s Cottage is super dog friendly with an enclosed small rear yard surrounded by walls and fencing the lowest being aproximately 5 feet. Dog towels and poo bags are provided in the front entrance, and dog bowls in the kitchen cupboard. 

You can relax in the cosy living room after a day on the beach, Unwind on the comfy sofas whilst watching your favourite show on the smart TV. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances for home-cooking.

A lovely double bedroom comes with a comfortable bed for a peaceful night’s sleep. Wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinet provide plenty of storage.
The bathroom has an electric shower, basin and WC. Bed linen for the double bed and kitchen towels included.
Please bring your own personal towels, bedding for sofa bed and throws if your dog will be going on the furniture.

We are in a fantastic position for exploring the Lake District and the Border country. Just 15 minutes away is the charming town of Cockermouth, home to Cockermouth Castle, Wordsworth House, Castle House Gallery and a range of further attractions. Maryport with the lovely marina, Roman museum and aquarium is just 10 minutes away. Keswick, Ambleside and Windermere are all accessible by car with the Northern Lakes including Buttermere, Crummock Water, Derwentwater,and Bassenthwaite Lake only about 40 minutes away. You can also visit the border city of Carlisle and Gretna Green.
